This year there has definitely been an increase in oversized, puffy furniture. And Pukka, a collaborative collection between design duo Yabu Pushelberg and Ligne Roset, is the latest on our radar. Pukka’s armchair, sofa, and ottoman are curvaceous and comfortable, with visually dynamic shapes made entirely of foam.
When designing the collection, Yabu Pushelberg was inspired by Ligne Roset’s experience with seating made of foam. Ligne Roset is a known master at shaping foam into eye-catching silhouettes and then combining the pieces with the most ideal upholstery. Pukka’s seating furniture is designed in an organic shape: soft lines, seams and a touch of feminine design. By using different densities of highly elastic, ultra-flexible foam, long-lasting seat support is almost guaranteed. Also part of the Pukka collection are a side table and a rug, each of which plays out the curves of the seating furniture.
