Thankspressure Rug Uses Acupressure + Dance To Treat Ailments

Designed by Sangmin Oh, Graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven and founder of Osangmin Studio, thanksgiving is a tapestry project challenging the user to engage in acupressure through dance to treat six common ailments. What looks like raised pebbles on the carpet are actually various dance moves that Oh believes to relieve headaches, eye strain, stiffness, abdominal pain, constipation, and menstrual pain. The carpet, produced in cooperation with TextielLab, comes with a book that shows how it should be used technically. Through textile and innovative technologies, Oh combines eastern acupressure with western sports dances on a colorful stage.
