LAY LO Unveils Unique Dog Beds Made by Artists From Upcycled Fabrics
I think we can all agree that the last year has been crazy and confusing. Over time we gain ground and slowly assemble our lives again, similar to “sewing” things, piece by piece. These thoughts inspired the Brooklyn-based dog bed brand LAY LO to create the ReMade collection. You may remember LAY LO from previous launches, but did you know that they were one of the first brands to join the Design Milk Shop? This is because we are big fans of their stylish dog beds and this feeling has only grown over the years. The ReMade Collection is their initiative in which they work with artists to reinvent new dog duvet covers made from deadstock fabrics used in their previous collections. The first partnership is with the LA-based textile designer, Warren Aldrichwho is known for his keen sense of patterns, colors and hand-woven fabrics.
Aldrich, whose clothing line is called WALD, sewn upcycled fabrics by hand into patchwork designs to create 21 unique dog duvet covers.
This project has a special place in our hearts. Our dog beds are a canvas for creativity and it was great to work with someone as talented as Warren to recreate something old, new and reinvent what a dog bed could be.
