A Neon Lighting Collection Inspired by Otherworldly Concepts

Latvian designer Dace Sũnas Sculptural Neon Lights Collection is inspired by a number of particular concepts, all seemingly separate but actually divinely connected. Sũna has a background in interior design with a BFA from FIT NYC and an interest in spatial, dimensional, and light interconnections.

I learned the art of making neon while living in Los Angeles. The process of working with these crude, sacred and colorful noble gases like neon, argon, krypton, helium and basic molten states of glass brings me closer to the stars I believe we are coming from. It is this very interesting work process where science and art meet, hence magic happens.

After receiving her Kundalini Yoga certification, Sũna’s interest in chakras, frequencies and light therapy as a healing method also helps her to give shape to light sculptures. Theories about dream states and areas of meditation also come into play.
