Lyle is a minimalist hotel in Washington, DC designed by Lore group. Known for its collection of illustrious properties, including Sea Containers London and Pulitzer Amsterdam, Lore Group continues to celebrate the history of the buildings each property is in.
Creative director Jacu Strauss found luxury in the details of the building’s original Art Deco elements. By embracing these elements, he wanted to create a place of calm and comfort mixed with understated style.
For the rooms and the penthouse suite, Strauss has created comfortable and calming rooms in neutral tones that are equipped with natural materials such as Art Deco headboards made of root wood, rattan seats and Berber carpets. In addition, 56 of the 196 bedrooms have a kitchenette, which is practical for long-term guests.
