Two exciting things are happening for Debra Folz: the opening of a showroom in the Hamptons and the debut of three new versions of the Ribbon Collection’s most popular pieces to celebrate. First, let’s talk about expanding the Ribbon Collection, a series best known for its cast bronze hardware that resembles the actual ribbons. The three new parts – the ribbon drawer with mirror, the ribbon console with mirror and two drawers, and the ribbon vanity top with mirror and two drawers – continue the range’s ability to translate textiles and soft surfaces beautifully into convincing furniture shapes.
Debra Folz’s new Hamptons showroom offers a wonderful palette to showcase all the collections, as well as pieces that have not yet made it onto the website. She also took advantage of the 15 foot ceilings and invited Asher Dunn of Studio Dunn to showcase his Sorenthia lighting collection. You can currently visit Westhampton, New York 11978 at 108 Main Street (side entrance).
I enjoy the freedom to create a specific environment for my work and to exchange new work and experiments immediately, as well as to work from this room and to involve customers in my process that otherwise took place behind studio doors.
