In many cases the discounts are bigger this year.
At Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys, Sheldon Suga, the vice president’s chief executive officer, said management had weighed the potential tourism revival in 2021 against the financial hardship of many families.
“We decided to do the right thing and extend our discount and booking window,” he said of the week-long deal through November 30th, which was 40 percent off last year’s 30 percent discount for travel through October 31st offers (prices start at $ 191, post discount).
Last year, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts offered their rooms at up to 35 percent discount during the seasonal sale. This year the discount is 40 percent, which means an available room for $ 1,000 at Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands would cost $ 600. The deal runs from November 27th to December 1st with a penalty-free cancellation window of 24 hours prior to June 30th, 2021.
In Orlando, SeaWorld’s own marine park, Discovery Cove, said this year’s sale was the biggest it has ever been. Until November 30th the discounts are between 20 and 50 percent.
