Hansgrohe Revives Artwork Deco Design With the Locarno Assortment

At the height of its popularity in the 1920s, the Art Deco era was synonymous with luxury and glamor for consumers. Hansgrohe, the leading manufacturer of bathroom and kitchen fittings, is giving new life to the nostalgic geometric style with its Locarno collection. Hexagonal designs and bold finishes bring centuries-old Art Deco elements through elegance and sophistication to today’s kitchens and bathrooms that transform an entire room.

Hansgrohe worked with the leading design agency Phoenix Design to bring their vision to life. “The people of that time felt materially more secure than before and were optimistic about political, technological and cultural perspectives,” says Andreas Diefenbach, Managing Partner of Phoenix Design. “Throughout the entire project we have consistently focused on enjoyment, intimacy, humanity and everyday utility, reminding us of the poetry and romance of bygone days, the pleasure and luxury of the lightness of being.”

Locarno offers a complete bathroom collection with faucets, shower components and accessories, each with an Art Deco inspired hexagonal detail that brings the series to life. Choose from a single hole or a widely used sink faucet. For the shower you will find thermostat and pressure equalization strips, wall bars and shower arms. The collection also includes Roman bathtub sets, a freestanding bathtub filler with hand shower and numerous accessories for a comprehensive bathroom design.

Locarno moves into the kitchen and continues to combine classic design notes and modern technology. Opt for the Semi-Pro kitchen mixer or the practical Select HighArc kitchen mixer. With the Select technology from Hansgrohe, the user can start and stop water at the push of a button, which saves both water and time. A preparation tap, a bar tap and a soap dispenser round off the Locarno kitchen range.
