Although most people observe a dry January, our January stalled for six days. We thought we weren’t the only ones …
Our Red pepper cooler is a simple four ingredient recipe that is far from a simple cocktail. Gin is the basis for many great and iconic cocktails. Its unique botanical properties are surprisingly versatile when it comes to flavor profiles. In this recipe, we soften the spiciness of the gin with sweet, simple syrup and hot, fresh lemon juice.
However, the main ingredient of this drink is red pepper. The pronounced aromatic aromas of this nightshade – fruity, floral, herbal, sweet – bring much more than just firepower and give it nuances and depth. The fragrant and crisp notes of the fresh pepper are unexpected and delicious. Poured over ice and topped with a pinch of crushed red pepper strands that look like giant saffron stamens.
