This studio apartment designed by Todos Arquitetura de Histórias is located in the La Vida residential building of Grupo Lar in São Paulo, the Brazilian district of Alto da Boa Vista. It shows creative solutions for small spaces. Covering just 37 square feet, the layout was reorganized when walls separating the bedroom from the living room and kitchen were removed, opening up the interior to feel larger.
The new design now offers a social space where the living room, kitchen, dining area and office merge and feel cohesive. A color palette of blue, yellow and orange is combined with white walls and a terracotta tile floor, resulting in a lively aesthetic.
The office area doubles as a second bedroom with a day bed the size of a single bed under the window. A yellow metal bookcase and desk define the space while keeping lines of sight open. Blue kitchen cabinets form another block of color that perfectly contrasts the strong solar yellow of the office.
A two-seater sofa forms the living room shelf and forms the living area. On the opposite wall under the television, a bench by the designer Humberto da Mata offers additional seating if required.
